A Summary of The Americas

This is going to be my last blog from the Americas so it is going to be a summary of the best and funniest parts so far!

The three funniest things are:(3)Charles in Nicaragua when we had a night of musical farts, we had some food that night came back to go to bed and then that's when the farts started to happen, Charles unleashed about seven at once then we all started to do them. It was Mums worst night so far easily, I was laughing my head off the whole time it was so funny.
(2) Yesterday we went to the centre of town to go and get some food, there was loads of street entertainment that day. One of the entertainers was a comedian that had drawn a big crowd. We stopped to have a look but then he pulled Will into the circle with him, he started asking Will where he was from and who he was with. He said us and then me and Mum started cracking up so much.
(1) The ultimate funniest thing so far is Will's meals. Every time we go out for a meal even if it is a really posh restaurant I always pick the best thing on the menu, Mum usually picks an alright meal, but Will on the other hand has to go for the most disgusting meal ever, the worst one so far was in Nazca Peru, he had chicken with a sort of mango, orange, apple flavour to it, it was horrible.

So then now you have heard the funniest thing so far, its time for the best thing yet and without a doubt it goes to Peru, it is something that I haven't put about in my blog so far. Here it is.

In Nazca you could go on tours that would take you to different places, the one that we picked was called San Fernando. Basically first they take you for an hour trip into the desert, then find a great place to sand board. Me and Mum went to a smaller sand dune and boarded down that and Will tried to conquer the larger of the two. It was actually "really" difficult. I thought it would be easier and safer than surfing but I was very wrong indeed, every time you fell off you pulled the skin in your bum, and Will came back with a massive pink scrape on his butt.

After sand boarding we went to a remote bit of an Island, there was the best wildlife I had ever seen . We got out of the car expecting nothing, but then four gigantic Condors came marching through the sky. We followed them up the hill only to see thousands of penguins, sea lions and vultures, it was the best thing ever.

So there it is, my best and funniest things so far. Here is a picture to show you how amazing they were. Tomorrow were going too New Zealand, we lose two days apparently, hope everyone is fine. Jasper and Sam B GET ON SKYPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and Grandma Lin and Grandad Phil.

  1. Wow! You have certainly been saving that one up. It has been so long since we read a blog from you that I wondered if you might have forgotten how to write. But no, that's your best blog ever Sam - and sooooo mature. I think you really have grown up an awful lot in the time you have been away, despite your concentration on farts and bums. Now let us have a more regular peek into how you see life on the hoof. We do enjoy reading it you know.

    Lots of Love

  2. Grandad is right Sam. That was a great Blog. Although I wish I had a picture of Will being very embarrassed by the comedian. And of course we all know that the reason that Will probably gets the worst thing on the menu is that I bet he tries to choose the BIGGEST thing, so that he can have masses to eat. I hope you enjoy New Zealand. I bet you do. If nothing else, you can hopefully all have a roast dinner!

I've got a busy weekend, because I'm 'attending' an online Astrology Conference. Trouble is, it starts around 4 every day and finishes around 3 am - it's got to fit in with people from all around the world. So think of your Grandad on Sunday night/monday morning, because I'm taking my laptop to bed, and waking up at 2:30 am to listen to a lecture. He's going to be really pleased!! NOT!

    Lots of love,
Grandma....who is really pleased to see how well you are writing nowadays!

  3. Hi Sam and co.
We think this picture of condors is absolutely the business Sam. What an experience, followed by the other animals we can understand why this was just the best sofar.
We have just returned from a glorious trip to Majorca. The weather was reasonable and we were able to tour the whole of the island, it is such a pretty place, not altogether different from mainland Spain but in may ways very different. One noticiable one being hardly any white buildings. Most of the houses are of the local stone, which makes the whole country appear mellow as it is a soft, almost cotswold stone colour.
We have visited Nina & Tim today, Vivi & Monique are growing fast. I found a great deal of difference in them so when you finally return they will probably be 'out to work'. Hope not.
Saying that, I think from your pics you have grown and according to your Mum everyone loves you and feeds you - perhaps that's why your looking taller. But we are not surprised they all love you can every home should have a lovely Sam!
How nice to be NZ at last, it obviously feels like you are back in familiar territory, ie English speaking and looking like Devon. Uncle Tom, AuntyKelly & Joe would like it there in that case as you will never move them from their beloved Devon.
We love the sound of Ron. Boy you are going to have some great times in him andhopefully your dearest love - wild camping.
I am going to go on SKYPE and hope that we will connect at some time, as I know our time differences are substantail.
Sooo happy to know you are sooo happy and that you preferred HP book to the film, and we're happy knowing you're happy - which makes everyone happy !!!
100s of love to you all - thank you for the blogs Ruth.
    Grandmal & Wavesurfer Grandad xxx
