The Biggest Trip Ever

My name is Sam, I am 11 3/4 and this blog is about our trip around the world. I am going away with my step dad (Will) and my Mum (Ruth).

We are going to Miami, Cuba, Costa Rica, Peru, Santiago, New Zealand, Sydney, Perth (maybe Cook Islands) Bali and Hong Kong and back again. (Well that's the plan at the moment).


I am most looking forward to surfing and sight seeing in different countries. I would like to see what different animals there are compared to England, it will be nice for a change. I am also looking forward to staying in a van, but i hope will doesn't snore!!


I will be doing 2 hours of schooling every day apart from the weekends. I am glad I don't have to spend 6 hours in the same place, like I do at the moment. Phew!!

    Hi Sam

    As you are thinking of going to Peru you should ask your mam and Will to consider taking you to the Galapagos Islands. You can see a great deal of wildlife unique to the islands, surf right alongside dolphins, sea lions and iguana and visit the giant tortoise who was around, I think, at the time Darwin made his visits there. I think his name is George and he is the last surviving member of his species. Most important of all you can visit the Darwin Foundation where I imagine, in a single visit, you will learn more about evolution than your classmates back home will ever learn in a year of lessons.

    Well....it looks like I succeeded! Your trip sounds very exciting Sam. I bet you're most looking forward to the 2 hours of schooling every day. I can't believe Will snores! Are you and Will taking your surfboards with you.

    Very cool Blog Sam...now do me a favour, and continue to update whilst your away!!(we both know how rubbish Will can be!). Told my little girl about your trip today and think she is very jealous- esp of the two hour schooling!Have the BEST OF THE BEST of times away, be good for your Mum and just enjoy.
